				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Okinawa sweet potato pie was presented in our 10/15/2023 fitness event as a post workout snack.  The purple root vegetable has more antioxidants than blueberries do.  It&#8217;s great for heart health, gut health, beautiful skin, and prevent cancer. I added grass fed gelatin into the mix for a boost of protein and joint care.</p></div>

<p>Danielle grew up in the remote city of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qiqihar">Qiqihaer</a> (Daur word, which means &#8216;border&#8217; or &#8216;natural pasture&#8217;), located in northeast China, near the borders of Russia and Mongolia. The extreme cold climate instilled in her a tenacious spirit, driving her to persevere and never give up. When she immigrated to the U.S., she embarked on a journey of adapting to a new life, which included learning to drive, obtaining her first credit card, and establishing her credit history. She soon discovered the importance of renewing car registrations regularly to avoid late fees. The process of cultural integration played a significant role in her personal growth during this time.</p>



<p>After a decade in the U.S., Danielle secured a stable position at a technology company in San Francisco. Her life appeared to be on a steady path. However, she began experiencing brain fog, bloating, restless sleep, and unexplained weight gain, despite maintaining a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and engaging in rigorous exercise twice daily at the gym. After consulting various doctors and spending thousands of dollars, Danielle received no diagnosis, advice, or treatment—only being told that these symptoms were a natural consequence of aging. Unwilling to accept this as her fate, she delved into the realms of health, nutrition, and female hormones, discovering a glimmer of hope for her own well-being.</p>



<p>Armed with newfound knowledge, Danielle embarked on a journey to improve her health. In 2021, she commenced teaching group fitness classes at Equinox Gym in downtown San Francisco. As members began sharing their stories and challenges with her, she realized that numerous women, particularly immigrants, were grappling with the same issues she had faced: assimilation into a new culture, female health, sleep disturbances, weight management, and more. These women, characterized by their independence and competitiveness, rarely sought assistance. Driven by her passion, Danielle resolved to accompany her fellow women on this transformative journey toward happiness and health. She adamantly believes that women&#8217;s wellness should never be relegated to the background; the notion of enduring sub-optimal health and weight gain as a byproduct of aging is unacceptable.</p>



<p>Today, Danielle resides in downtown San Francisco, actively participating in women&#8217;s wellness initiatives and creating a positive impact in the lives of those she touches.</p>

<p>Zamira’s lifelong journey as a fitness professional began as a teenager leading group dance classes for fun in Baku, Azerbaijan and Istanbul, Türkiye. Within months of leading her first lessons she opened her own studio, launching an accomplished career spanning the globe over two decades to support thousands of clients, friends and family in pursuing their wellness goals in several languages.</p>
<p>Zamira immigrated to the U.S. in 2013 and immediately began work as a group dance and fitness instructor in her new home state of California. She fell in love with the culture of health, wellness and inclusion for which the Golden State is famous, and dedicated herself to the advancement of personal fitness in her own life and for others.</p>
<p>Drawing on her personal experience as an immigrant who initially struggled to adapt her healthy eating habits to the American food environment – where one is surrounded by unhealthy options and misleading/confusing marketing claims – Zamira launched a coaching practice to support immigrant women in developing their own nutritional and physical wellness strategies.</p>
<p>Zamira’s practice thrived over the next several years. In keeping with her innate urge to “stay busy,” she used her spare time to become a successful fitness model and take on a personal one-year challenge to train for all-natural bodybuilding competitions. That year, Zamira earned 1<sup>st</sup> Place at the 2016 NGA Natural Ms. Bikini California (Pro Qualifier) and was a Finalist at the 2016 NPC California Governors Cup Bikini Bodybuilding Competition.</p>
<p>In 2019 Zamira wound down her coaching practice to focus on a select few pro-bono engagements, allowing more time for travel and personal exploration.</p>
<p>Zamira proudly continues service to serve her community as a Founding Board Member of the<strong><em> StrongerHer Wellness Foundation</em></strong>, a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to <strong><em>supporting immigrant women in their journey towards personal and professional success</em></strong>. She and her husband reside in San Francisco, and Zamira enjoys trading notes on emergent trends in the fitness and nutrition space with her amazing network of wellness professionals, friends and family.</p>
<p>Zamira has a degree in Economics from Moscow University and is fluent (verbal/written) in Turkish, Russian, Azeri and English.</p>
